One last time our Frisian tribute to Leonard Cohen: 'Cohen yn it Frysk'. In 2008 eleven Frisian artists performed songs of Cohen in great Frisian translations and recorded an album. It became a great succes. Nynke performed 'Hallelujah' and in a duet with Elske DeWall 'Jeanne d'Arc'. Because the master himself recently passed away, we thought it was the time for one last bow.

Pynarello describes itself as a club of rebels that blows in like a whirlwind through a china shop. Classical music doesn’t have to remain the same: it can be more exciting, more spontaneous, more direct, and doesn’t need a conductor or sheet music. Pynarello: the next generation.
During the closing Prinsenwijk Concert, this club of rebels will have a special encounter with Nynke Laverman, one of Friesland’s most colourful singers. This question, which was also the core of Wachter, Nynke Lavermans’ last performance, is the point of departure of the third projection on the Oldehove: the poetic short film One of Us. One of Us is the result of a collaboration between singer/poet Nynke Laverman, filmmaker Douwe Dijkstra, and composer/percussionist Sytze Pruiksma, commissioned by Lân fan Taal as a part of Leeuwarden Cultural Capital of Europe.

One of Us is the result of a collaboration between singer/poet Nynke Laverman, filmmaker Douwe Dijkstra, and composer/percussionist Sytze Pruiksma, commissioned by Lân fan Taal as a part of Leeuwarden Cultural Capital of Europe.
From 27 July to 30 September!
